I saw The Twin Towers collapse with people inside them, with my own eyes, and that thick stripe of black smoke cut across the Sèvres Blue Sky. It was so big, like a sunset is so big, except exactly the opposite. It was so ugly. I needed to heal, I though if I spent some time looking at something beautiful, it would help me start to revert the feeling. So, I painted my hometown.
